My Personal Statement Replacing # 30

In live I have had many experiences that will forever stay in my heart. I have had good ones, bad ones, happy ones, and sad ones, and each and every single one of them will always be in my heart. Some people might say "why would she keep the sad ones in her heart?" There are many reasons why I keep them there. The sad ones help me continue being the strong young lady I've become and will continue to be throughout the rest of my life.
On June 28th 2996, I was told that my aunt was in the hospital because she was suffering from a stroke when I heard the news; I was truly at a loss. I was confused; all I could think was "why is this happening? I hope that everything will be fine". What made things worse was the fact that my cousins had to stay with us while this was happening. I felt helpless because there was nothing I could do or say to make either of them feel better, this was their mother. My aunt was put on life support and days began to pass, and my aunt was in a coma. At that point, my worry began to escalate because all I wanted was for her to wake up and for her to be fine. By the fifth day of her being in her coma, she began to move her hands. When I heard the news about her moving her hands, joy filled my heart because there was progress being made. At that point, I felt like she was going to be fine and recover from this terrible experience. On July 6th 2009, my family and I were in the waiting room of the hospital when the doctor came in. So mush was going through my mind and all I wanted was for him to tell my family good news. Once he opened his mouth, my bigger fear came true. He told us that the best thing for us to do was to take her off of life support. When I heard those words all I could do was cry, In my mind I was thinking "this isn't fair, my life will never be the same without her in my life. Days turned into weeks and nothing seemed like it was getting any better. All I did was hold in my emotions at times I was thinking "I have to be strong for my cousins so I can't let them see me cry or talk about how I was feeling." One day I couldn't hold in my emotions anymore and I talked to my mother. She let me know that everything will be fine, and even though my aunty wasn't here physically, she will always be in my heart. At that time I dint feel like everything was going to be alright. Months began to pass and the pain I felt began to ease. I wasn't forgetting about my aunty but I realized that she was in a much better place smiling down at me. That feeling comforted m and still dos to this day when I begin to feel sad. That experience made me stronger and it relates to the kind of person I am because I am the kind of person to bring the positive out in the negative situations. Even though it still hurts, it made me realize just because a loved one passes away doesn't mean you have lost them forever, I am proud of myself for realizing this, even if it took me a while.

" Concrete Specific Details"

"Concrete Specific Details"
1.Shoes...small shoes...big shoes..comfortable shoes...sports shoes...nike shoes
This choice of shoes started off general because there are many different types of shoes in the world. To be more specic I talked about the different sizes of shoes. I began to talk about the shoe being comfortable because there are some shoes that aren't comfortable. Sports shoes in my opinion are comfortable and a type of sports shoe is a Nike shoe.
2. Clothes...warm clothes...hood...long sleeves...black...sewat jacket
This choice of clothes was general at first. To be more specific I chose warm clothes virsus clothes that are worn when its cold outside. The color I chose was black. Then I chose a black sweat jacket.
3.Jewlery...sparkles...ring...diamond ring...worn on a finger...worn on my ring finger.
The general choice that I chose was jewlery. To be more specic I said that this jewlery sparkles because some jewlery doesn't. I chose the type of jewelry which was a ring. There are different kinds of rings so I chose a diamond ring. I said the ring is worn on a finger because some people wear them in different places. Then I chose the ring finger.

"College admissions Test"

Being able to go to college is a wonderful thing that people get to experience. They get the privilege of continuing their education in order to have the career they desire, living in dorms, or their own apartments, meeting a lot of new people and the list goes on. With all of these wonderful things going on while a person is in college there are a lot of things that a person must complete in order to be admitted into college.
To achieve the goal of getting admitted to college you must have good grades mainly from ninth grade year all the way to your twelfth grade year. To have a and b grades is a wonderful thing but having d and fs will not get a person admitted into college, that's if they want to get into a good college. Another thing a person that colleges look at most of the time is the sat and act scores. Having high scores on these two tests can also help a person achieve this goal of getting into college.
Getting into college isn't something easy that anyone is capable of, it takes hard work and dedication because if a person is lazy then they will most likely never achieve this goal.

"Ending A Relationship"

Have you ever had to end a relationship before? Ending a relationship is sometimes easy and its sometimes hard for a person. Either a person doesn't want to hurt a persons feelings, they just don't care about a persons feelings at all and they just tell them the truth about how they feel,or others don't tell the person how they feel at all.
I feel if a person wants to end a relationship, the best way to do it is to be completely honest about it. Im not saying tell the person in a mean way or anything because then the other person might begin to have hard feelings. A lot of people I know have ended their relationships in a bad way by eother yelling, or being mean and rude about it towards the other person. Then the other person has hard feelings. Other situation I have seen is when someone wants to end the realtionship but they don't want to tell the person how they are feeling. I feel this isthe worst possible way to go aboutt he situation because it is bad to keep what you are really feeling inside from the other person, I feel that it is always better to be completely honest with the person. By being honesy I mean talk to the other person in a civilized manner so that things don't escalate and turn into a big argument.
Ending a relationship may not always be easy for a person but if their heart tells them that they should then I think they should listen to it so they are not the one to get hurt in the end.

"Making a New Friend"

Sometimes making a new friend can be a challenge for people.  They may feel very shy to the point where they feel too afraid to go up to a person and start a conversation with them. Even though people are shy sometimes it’s always good to come out of that shyness to make a new friend.
One way for a person to meet a new friend is very simple. A person can walk up to the person that they would like to meet and say hello. From saying that one word can start a whole conversation depending on how nice someone is. Another way to make a good friend if a person is too shy to say help, a lot of time a person needs something, it may be help with something, it could be anything, someone can help them with whatever they need and slot of the time a person is happy that they were helped. This situation can help a person make a new friend. Often time’s people tend to be shy when they are by themselves and not with their friends, so if a person is with their friends they can go up to a person and begin a conversation. Making a new friend may be difficult at times but it involves people to come out of their shyness.

"My Favorite Game"

I have a lot of games that I love to play, but the one game that I love to play the most would have to be monopoly. Monopoly is a game that can go on for hours and hours without my getting tired. In the game monopoly you and about 6 or 7 other players can play. You each get 1500 dollars to start with. You roll the dice and there is a series of properties you can land on that you can buy with the money. IF you buy a certain piece of property and somebody else lands on it they have to pay you rent or mortgage depending how many houses or hotels you have on it. The more houses or hotels that you have on your property the more money they have to pay you. The other things you can land on while playing this game is community chest and chance. When you land either one of these things you can either pick up a card that has good news or bad news for you. The good news can be you getting some money from the bank or players. The bad news is you either are going to jail or paying some money. Another thing you can land on while playing this game is free parking. If you land on free parking and money is under there you can get that money. The last thing you can land on is another players property and depending on how many hotels or houses or how much their rent is you have to pay them some money. I like this game because I always win, I have lots of strategies to win and this game can go on for hours and hours without ever getting boring.

“Causes and Effects of Prejudice”

Prejudice, discrimination, and racism are three words that all mean the same thing and not in a good way. Prejudice goes all the way back to many years ago. The fact that people thinking that they are better than someone else just because something about that person is different. Prejudice is caused by more than one thing. It can be caused by one’s own opinion towards other who is different from them, or it can be caused by the influences that he or she has in their lives.
A form of a person being prejudice is because a person is a different race from another person. Some people feel as though they are better than a particular person or group because they feel as though they came from a better place from them. I feel people who feel this way are completely wrong because nobody in this world is better than anyone, we all should feel like we all are equal because we all are. People feeling this way may be caused by their own mind set, or others such as their parents, friends ect might have put those terrible thoughts about other people in their heads.
Prejudice come in many ways from people around the world, age race, religion etc, which I feel should be stopped because this can really hurt someone’s feelings. I personally have been discriminated against and so have a lot of people I know and this shows their ignorance of these people. The effects of prejudice can cause someone to feel sad and hurt which isn't a good feeling. I want people to know that we all are they same and the ignorant people who are prejudice should really change their mindset because being prejudice against certain people is such an ugly quality to have.
